Winter Bucket List

Happy 1st Day of Winter!

I decided to switch things up on you this week. Don’t worry I’m still posting a recipe, but it’ll go up this afternoon.

Have you ever heard of a seasonal bucket list? Oh yeah, it’s a thing! With every new season, comes a list of fun activities and goals we all want to hit. Just how October and Fall bring people to consume larger than normal amounts of Pumpkin Spice… Oh and we can’t avoid the overlaod of Pumpkin pictures on the internet, well Winter has a few of those too.

Besides the obvious Christmas decorating there are a few more buket list must do’s.

My Winter Bucket List:

Skiing + Snowboarding Trip

I’ve recently grown to love these sports. They are both equally as fun, but if I had to choose one, i’d go with skiing… less time spent in the snow for me. ha! A little insight on me: I don’t enjoy being wet & cold.

Pine Scented Candles

There is nothing better than walking into a house that smells like fresh pine. Okay maybe there is… one that smells of pine and cookies. LOL! The smell of pine is clean and fresh; I love to switch between candles and essential oil diffusers.

No athletic skills required for this Winter activity! We live just 20 minutes from Mount Charleston so whenever we can’t block out an entire day to snowboard, we load up the dogs, grab our sleds, and go sledding. It’s the perfect activity for any age!

Ice Skating

THIS is so much fun!! Have you ever been Ice Skating? If not, you need to make plans this Winter to give it a try. No matter your experience level, this is such a fun activity to do with friends and family.

Bundle Up

Spending an entire cold Winter’s day curled up by a fireplace, and sipping tea is a day well spent, in my eyes!

One of my all time favorite things to do is camp! Camping can be done any season of the year, but my favorite time to go is in the Winter – chilly nights by the campfire, clear skies to stargaze and study the constellations, riding in the buggy, and of course motorcycle riding. Enjoying a warm cup of coffee in the brisk, fresh air in the morning is a great way to start your day.

Christmas Movies

Time for a Christmas movie marathon!!

Christmas Music

Okay I’m one of those people that begins listening to Christmas tunes the day after Thanksgiving. Okay, okay … maybe the day after Halloween. Ahhhh, busted! My best friend thinks I’m crazy and often reminds me that there are very few holiday tunes, just the same 10 songs, sung by many different people.Well I DON’T CARE. LOL They still warm my heart and fill my day with so much joy! Are you a Christmas music fan?

Christmas Tree Shopping

I mean c’mon duuuuuh! The smell, the excitement of what it will look like in your home fully decorated, and the pleasure of placing all those gifts under it. This is defintely a highlight of the Winter season for me!

Light Shows

Who doesn’t like a good light show?! The answer is not one damn person. HA! People of all ages get enjoyment out of strolling down a street of well decorated homes, driving through the Las Vegas Speedway and their beautiful light show, or going to Palm Springs and seeing the Robo light show ( I’ll explain this in detail in another article, soon).

Whatis on your Winter Bucket List ?
